After much deliberation, I made the decision to relocate back to my hometown of Vero Beach, FL. I decided to do this for many reasons, most of them personal and family related. But, regardless of why, here I am. Obviously, one of the hardest things to leave behind was my photography work. Endless shows to shoot, and countless friends left behind.
Being in such a small town in Florida now, the shows are hard to come by. I have a few on the calendar for the next couple months, but not nearly the number of shoots I would have had back in the Ham. Regardless, here is a little of what you can look forward to in the next couple of months...
Coheed and Cambria | March 11 | Hard Rock Live Orlando
As you would expect, I am EXTREMELY excited about this show. When I let the bands management know that I had relocated to South Florida, they were so excited to have me shoot for the band again. I think their exact words were "This is so cool!"...which, of course, was so cool of them.

When I shot for Coheed back in the summer of 2015, I was sure I had experienced the greatest concert/shoot of my life. But I am pretty sure this will top it, although it will be tough. Going from seeing the band play in an outdoor setting, in the heat of one of Atlanta's hottest summers, after two days of non-stop punk rock, to seeing them play in an indoor setting, not exhausted from shooting for two days straight, and getting to enjoy them thoroughly; it is going to be different to say the least. As a concert photographer, my first thoughts are "Man, I bet the lighting will be great!"...which is something I truly can not wait to find out. Nonetheless, it shall be an amazing show. I'll try not to cry this time.
Fenix*Tx and Unwritten Law | March 26 | Inlet Bar in Fort Pierce
I was so surprised to hear one of my favorite bands 16 years ago would be playing in a town like Fort Pierce. About 10 minutes south of Vero, Fort Pierce is a tiny, Mayberry-esque town. But I am not about to question whoever set this show up, because I am super pleased to shoot Fenix*Tx for the first time, and Unwritten Law for the second. Unwritten Law was actually one of the first concert gigs I ever had, maybe THE first. With little experience, but my passion for all things rock, I ended up with shots that pleased me, and the bands.

But having refined my style, and upgrading my gear, I am excited for a second go round with UL. Looking forward to this (possibly) small show, and getting some great shots.\
I have a 'maybe' for the Okeechobee music & Arts Festival, also in March. Should know for sure by the end of this month. Once we get the go ahead for that, I'll post a preview, and a list of bands we hope to shoot there.
All in all, it is looking kind of slow for the next couple months, but hoping to pick up more stuff once concert/festival season begins in the Summer.
